Ostracizing Weirdos and Creepers is Ultimately Damaging to Our Society as a Whole

Every one of us, at some point in our lives, has had to deal with that kinda creepy person who has an amazing ability to ignore clear social cues. There's that woman in your Cultural studies class who's always commenting on things that are unrelated to the topic at hand, or the guy you dated 10 years ago who found you on Facebook and won't stop messaging you.

Where do these people come from? Why do some of us develop into normal, functioning members of society, or at least find our niche of others like us, and some people (excluding those with mental handicaps) are never able to really grasp everyday social behaviors? I have to think that to some extent, it's the fault of the parents. As children we rely on our parents to exemplify how we should act as adults. However, once they start school, kids start interacting more and more with others without having their parents around to correct behavior. So they learn by trial and error. Which works fine for most of us; but for those kids who need a little more help, they turn  into the creepers and weirdos of society! And who is around to correct their behavior as adults??

Well, it's not your job, person reading this blog. It isn't anyone's responsibility to do this, but I think that some one needs to do it. Someone needs to tell the weirdos why the girl in 4E doesn't want to accept the apple pie you baked her after knowing her for 2 hours, and why everyone in the room groans when you have something to say at the PTA meeting. Because otherwise, these people will forever be the committing social crimes and making us feel awkward!

So, if you haven't already guessed it, I am accepting this difficult task of telling the creepers of the world what they are doing wrong. I will be using examples from my own observations, explaining in detail what the people I know are doing wrong and why they are being ostracized. And hopefully, the creeps of the world will learn from my stories and we can better the world, one awkward person at a time.

  2. Unless the so-called 'weirdos' aren't able to live life, I'm not really sure they need your help (or insight into the social 'norms').
